Welcome Back to School!
Winter break is over, and it kinda feels like this, right?
So, we decided to make some templates that would (maybe? hopefully!) ease the pain of post-vacation ‘welcome back to school.’
🗓 First of all, things are a little nutty in pandemic world, and perhaps your class schedule is taking a hit. If so, here’s a weekly schedule template to help you get everyone on the same page.
📖 Second, whether your school has end-of-semester exams in January, or state testing, or you just want your students to study smarter, here’s a study skills template with actionable advice that (a) explains how to study effectively, (b) offers strategies for managing test anxiety, and (c) won’t feel overwhelming to them. Just click to duplicate and make it your own.
💡 If you’re thinking ahead to MLK Day, here’s an MLK template with lesson plans, resources, and inspiration.
❄️ Lastly, for those days that are just too dark and cold to plan, here’s a template with resources for teaching about winter.
There’s a good little poem that I recite to myself at this time of year:
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.
"We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,”
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
-Oliver Herford
In other words, don’t despair. Longer days, and more vacations, are on the way. Wishing you light, health, and happiness in 2022.
